This car needs little introduction being the fastest road-legal production car in the world. The Veyron has a 987bhp quad turbo 8.0 litre 16 cylinder engine!
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
The ultimate contemporary Aston Martin, combining the comparative understatement of the V8 Vantage with the 510bhp 6.0-litre V12 from the DBS. This is everything a cool handmade British sports car should be.
Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
The Lamborghini Murcielago has everything a cool car could ever want. Awesome scissor doors, 661 bhp, 6.5-litre V12 and will hit 62mph in 3.2 seconds and keep on going to 212mph! And just look it's cool looks, it's a car of real beauty.
This car is special, seriously special...a game changer in fact. Super efficient (electric) for urban driving and then on the race track it performs close to a F1 car! The P1 costs £866,000 and there will only ever be 375 examples built, all of which claims McLaren have now found homes.
At its core the P1 boasts a t2 eater carbon fibre tub, much like that of a Le Mans prototype racing car. It is propelled by two distinctly different power sources. The first is a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine that produces 727bhp at 7300rpm and 531lb ft at 4000rpm. The second involves an electric motor that uses a brace of lithium ion batteries to produce a further 176bhp and 192lb ft of torque. This provides the P1 with combined outputs of 903bhp and 664lb ft of torque.
Jeremy Clarkson said this recently about the P1:
“We’ve seen fast cars before, there have been Koenigseggs and Paganis, and the Ferrari F12 doesn’t exactly hang about. But we've never encountered anything quite like the P1. This takes our perception of speed to a new level.
Remember to forget all you think you know when you press the accelerator. Because what happens when you do isn’t real. It’s from a world of sci-fi and monsters and fear. It makes everything else look like the past...” Jeremy Clarkson 2014
Formula 1 driver Jenson Button drove the P1 and here's the video:
Porsche 911 GT3 RS
The ultimate evolution of the current 911 is the GT3 RS. There is no finer illustration of Porsche's genius than this, a car that will as happily pop to the shops as lap the Nordschleife in under eight minutes. Our favourite colour is this green version!
Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk5
The Golf GTI has evolved into arguably the most complete motoring package on the planet. Browse used cars on the web and you'll find your spoilt for choice with the sheer number of Golf GTI's available unlike the other cars on this list. Performance, practicality, comfort, refinement, and for sensible money. In the real world, this car is near enough perfection.
Factory Five Mk3 Roadster Cobra Replica
The World's Best Selling Replica! Enough said, this car is fun and a lot less than a real Cobra!
This 6.5-litre, V12 powered 650bhp monster is everything Lamborghini stands for. Carbon fibre, hugely intimidating body and loud engine. It was produced in a limited number totalling around 27 including 7 for museums.
